HSBC & JCA Prayer Request Board
by Gman on Apr.02, 2009, under Prayer Requests

The blog has become pretty popular, and its growing daily but let us keep in mind what we’re about. To glorify and honor the Lord. In so doing one of the best ways to do this is to intercede for one another in one accord. I’ve created this specific section of the blog for prayer requests. Regardless how minor or major those prayers and needs are to you, remember, they’re all just answered prayers in God’s que.
So if you have a prayer request you’d like the rest of us to help you with, please, post it here, even if it is an unspoken. Be as detailed as you can. Remember ‘we have not because we ask not’. Let’s not be the type Christian who assumes God will supply our needs because he knows what we have need of. He wants to fellowship with us in prayer.
If you have a prayer answered or an update on your requests please don’t add a new comment, just edit your own simply by chosing the edit option by your name. Make sure we know it is an update.
God Bless!

I would like anyone who would to pray for my Father. His name is Gary Murray Sr. He currently lives in China, but due to the worldwide economy slowdown after over 20 years with this company they will not be renewing his contract in June.
He has looked both in the states and all over the world for a job in his field, which is the textile chemical business. He is a Senior Technical Chemicals Manager in charge of quality control over the Eastern Asia division of what was once Ciba but now known as Huntsman.
In all likelihood they’ll be moving back to the states in June, but uncertain as to where to go from there. He has two possibilities, one in India, the other in Tokyo, but they aren’t set in stone.
I’d like anyone to pray for God’s will to be done, in God’s time, and that my Father will have the patience and faith he needs to get through this trying time. He’s very depressed as you can imagine, but he does know that God is in control.

Personal and unspoken request. However, let me share the verses God gave me towards my request.
1. …mine eye hath seen HIS desire upon mine enemies. Ps. 54:7
2. Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and HE shall sustain thee:… Ps. 55:22
Please help me pray for a satanic stronghold to be completely destroyed. I know what God can do and have seen His mighty works even to death. I believe in perserverance ALL THE WAY…

We’ll remember your request in my daily talk with God, Ms. Stacey.

This gentlemen know of Whom he spoke.

GOD’S HORNETS
And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. (Exodus 23:28)
What the hornets were we need not consider. They were God’s own army which He sent before His people to sting their enemies and render Israel’s conquest easy. Our God by His own chosen means will fight for His people and gall their foes before they come into the actual battle. Often He confounds the adversaries of truth by methods in which reformers themselves have no hand. The air is full of mysterious influences which harass Israel’s foes. We read in the Apocalypse that “the earth helped the woman.”
Let us never fear. The stars in their courses fight against the enemies of our souls. Oftentimes when we march to the conflict we find no host to contend with. “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” God’s hornets can do more than our weapons. We could never dream of the victory being won by such means as Jehovah will use. We must obey our marching orders and go forth to the conquest of the nations for Jesus, and we shall find that the Lord has gone before us and prepared the way; so that in the end we will joyfully confess, “His own right hand and his holy arm, have gotten him the victory.”
Love, Mrs. Stacey:)

April 8 – my two favorite doctrines – Sovereignty/Perserverence compliments of Bro. CHS
Preserved to Work’s End
The Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. (Acts 23:11)
Are you a witness for the Lord, and are you just now in danger? Then remember that you are immortal till your work is done. If the Lord has more witness for you to bear, you will live to bear it. Who is he that can break the vessel which the Lord intends again to use?
If there is no more work for you to do for your Master, it cannot distress you that He is about to take you home and put you where you will be beyond the reach of adversaries. Your witness-bearing for Jesus is your chief concern, and you cannot be stopped in it till it is finished: therefore, be at peace. Cruel slander, wicked misrepresentation, desertion of friends, betrayal by the most trusted one, and whatever else may come cannot hinder the Lord’s purpose concerning you. The Lord stands by you in the night of your sorrow, and He says, “Thou must yet bear witness for me.” Be calm; be filled with joy in the Lord.
If you do not need this promise just now, you may very soon. Treasure it up. Remember also to pray for missionaries and all persecuted ones, that the Lord would preserve them even to the completion of their lifework.

Thanks for praying. The Lord has indeed broken the “stronghold” in one manner of speaking. The “land” still has yet to be possessed, though. However, like Gideon, by God’s amazing grace I fully intend to “go against the odds.”

Death – Close Family friend, 30+ years – He was 63, working faithfully for his home – a tree hit his work truck – he was called home to glory…
Survived by a faithful wife, two grown children, four grandchildren – His life was an example of Christian character at its finest – then God said, “it’s time.” He will be missed.

Hello all,
Please pray for Bro. Stacy Pearcy. Here is his request:
“I have just completed my second stay in the hospital within the last three weeks. The first time was with a severe lung infection. The second, I had a kidney stone attack sunday morning after preaching and had to go to the hospital. I spent two days to find out I have two stones, one in my right kidney and the other blocking the function of my right kidney. Please keep me in your prayers.”

Bro. C.,
Pass on to Bro. Pearcy that we will indeed remember him. Obviously God is pleased with him if the devil is attacking him in this way.

UPDATE FROM BRO. STACY…
Dear Friends,
I wanted to write and thank everyone for all the prayers for me while I have been sick and in the hospital. Back in March I spent three days in the hospital due to a severe lung infection. Then in April I was preaching in Lanette AL after i finished the morning service I had a kidney stone attack. I had to be rushed to the hospital in Opelika Al and spent two days in the hospital to be stabilized. I came home on Tuesday and i developed an acute kidney infection on Thursday i was admitted to our local hospital for four days. I developed septic poisoning and was transferred to Jackson General Hospital for treatment. While in Jackson i developed Pneumonia with the septic poisoning. After 6 days I was released to recover at home until the 14th of May when i will have laser surgery on two kidney stones. One is lodged between my kidney and bladder(7mm) and the other is in my kidney(5mm). That is a rough update of the last couple of months. Please continue to pray for the Pearcy Family. Thank You for your faithfulness and friendship. GOD Bless.
Bro. Stacy

A girl I work with has requested prayer for her six year old niece, Marti Terrell. She has a brain tumor that the doctors do not feel comfortable operating on, so chemo and radiation look like the only treatments avilable. I’ll try to update as I receive them.
